    Easter Daze 2011 – just published…

    easterDazeLBWF2011pic-mThe Borough has just published Easter Daze, the latest in the successful series of publications helping parents, carers and children plan constructive activities during the holidays.

    The new edition is for the forthcoming Easter Break 2011.

    Eight pages packed with information on events and groups who are providing activities and resources during the holiday period.

    Great sections on activities for the under 5′s, along with information for 5 – 10′s and a great section on good things for the 11 – 19 year olds to do in the holiday.

    We will have taster sessions of a variety of activities – including gardening, sewing and floristry.

    You will be able to meet people from the local Credit Union, as well as JobCentre Plus.

    Come along and find out about the opportunities at our Centre and in the area too.

    Waltham Forest College – an Open Evening

    walthamForestCollegeOpendayPicWaltham Forest College are holding an Open Evening on Thursday, 17th March 2011. (4.30 to 7.30pm)

    If you are a parent or carer thinking of acquiring new skills or re-entering the workplace, then there will be plenty to talk about and see at the College.

    If you have a school leaver in the family, then why not come along and see what the options are for further learning and training at the College.

    If you download the College invitation form here, and bring it along on the day, you could be in with a chance to win a Nintendo Wii.

    Changes of design and content

    pensPic33You may have noticed the recent changes to the design and content of our Centre website…and the school main site too.

    We are working through a programme of new content for our site. We would be delighted to hear from you if you have any ideas for content or features for our site.

    If you have photographs of Centre activities or other interesting events around our school site just drop them into the Centre reception. (Preferably on a memory stick or CD). We are always happy to create galleries for your review – always with the appropriate permissions of course.

    If you have any ideas for features you can let us know by using the reply boxes on the blog posts. Just click the title to this entry and look at the bottom of the page.

    We never publish your details and all submissions are moderated before publication- we care a lot about your privacy.

    That said, we’d love to hear your ideas…
