    ballotBoxPic5Don’t forget that the local elections will take place in England on 3rd May 2012.

    Our Centre will be closed except for use as a polling station on that day.

    New Mums Group on Wednesday!

    teenMumPicDid you know that we held a group especially for new mums every Wednesday morning?

    At this drop-in session you can call in for a drink and a chat, meet other new mums like you and let your little one play with the soft toys and activities set up for you by our Play and Learn team.

    Come on in, don’t be shy and we look forward to seeing you between 9.30am and 11.30am at the Centre.

    Professional curtains?

    sewingButtonPicWe have a new professional curtainmaking course starting on Monday 10th October 2011.

    This is a Level One award course, for ten weeks from 9.30 am to 3.00pm every Monday.

    For more information and to enrol come into Chingford Hall Children’s Centre on Thursday 6th October between 1.00pm and 4.00pm.

    Do bring along a proof of address and evidence of any benefits you are claiming.

    Course fees:
    Full cost: £188.00 | Free to those on JSA! | £1.00 per hour if you are on
    income support!

    The Little Chef arrives…

    chefsClubButtonStarting on February 28th. we will have a great new sesson – a drop-in for 0 – 5 year olds.

    Running every Monday from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm, you can come along and enjoy discovering different foods.

    Learn to cook as a family and find new healthy recipes that are easy to cook with your children. Taste and cook together.

    School Gates Employment Initiative

    schoolGatesLogoJobCentrePlusThis programme, from Jobcentre Plus, is designed to give support to parents and carers who are looking to return to or take up new work.

    We can help you carry out job searches and get you onto courses provided by Jobcentre Plus.

    You can also take up help and advice across a range of subjects on employment, training and starting an enterprise.

    Come along and speak to our Centre adviser Lorrena.

    Every Monday from 1.00 to 3.00pm.

    Our baskets of love…

    basketsPicWe help many parents, carers and children who are in need.

    You can help us to help our community members who need a little extra support – by bringing into our Centre any donations you may have of tinned goods or packets of processed food items.

    We will put them to good use!

    Making up our Baskets of Love, to help others in our community can be a real aid at times of crisis for families, or just when a friendly face and supporting place to go is just what’s needed.
